Change?

Well, the Super Bowl is over. The NFL has a new champion. Patrick Mahomes II is the new MVP. The game was great, the outcome up in the air until the very end when the Chiefs put it away. While the Super Bowl was exciting, it made me think of a few things.

  • This is an example of the world we live in. Everything changes, our leaders, the economy, the work place, relationships, finances, you, me, and everything else too.
  • Jesus never changes! He is the same today, yesterday, last year last century as well as a millennia from now. God’s Word says it better than I can, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (Hebrews 13:8 KJV).

This causes me to think that in a world full of change where nothing stays the same, even the Patriots being in the Super Bowl, Jesus never does! Jesus, who died to save all that will accept Him, is still saving sinners! No matter who the Super Bowl Champion is, Jesus will always be the undisputed, life saving, dead raising, people changing, Champion of the World! If you would like to know more about why I believe this with all my heart, so much so that I rest my eternity on it, then join me Friday at 7 pm for Friday Night Fire at Open Door Baptist Church.
