Faith Promise Missions Sunday is part of a Biblical plan to fulfill the Great Commission through worldwide missions.

The Great Commission is a command given to us by Christ just before leaving this earth. Our church takes this command seriously.  We are committed to the command both locally and globally. Open Door supports numerous Missionaries who are taking the Gospel all over the world. Faith Promise Missions Giving is a Scriptural way to help us continue to be able to support the Missionaries we already support as well as add new Missionaries so that we can obey the Great Commission.

The Bible teaches three principles of giving:

  1. Tithes… What is a tithe?  It is giving God one tenth of all our increase as commanded in Scriptures. If you have never given, this is is the starting point.
  2. Offerings. This is our Sacrificial giving over and above the tithe. If you have been faithful with the tithe, then this is the next step. Can you out give God?
  3. Faith giving – This is where God really shows His Faithfulness! Faith Giving is giving more than you are capable of giving. While it may be more than we can do on our own, it is never more than God can provide!

So what is Faith Promise Missions Sunday?

It is a day where we can Give More and Do More by Faith to fulfill the Great Commission.

We are privilidged to have Frank Auterson as  our guest speaker this year for our Faith Promise Missions Sunday. Frank and and Karon Auterson have been missionaries in both Papua New Guinea, serving overseas since 1966. Join us as we are challenged to step out by faith to fulfill the Great Commission!

John 4:35

“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.”
